After over fifteen years working freelance and touring the world as a production manager, sound technician and lighting designer for UK based theatre and dance companies including Brighton Theatre Events; Bright FX; Darren Johnston’s Array; Divas Dance Theatre; High Spin; Inspector Sands; Periplum; Prodigal Theatre; The People Show; Sound & Fury; Swamp Circus; Tim Crouch / News From Nowhere, Christopher Umney is delighted to announce that he has now entered into partnership with Eike-Birte Schräder.
Nach über fünfzehn Jahren freiberuflicher Tätigkeit als Tourmanager, Lightdesigner und Soundtechniker auf Reisen in der ganzen Welt für Dance-Companys, Theater und Eventshows aus ganz England wie auch Tätigkeiten für Brighton Theatre Events; Bright FX; Darren Johnston’s Array; Divas Dance Theatre; High Spin; Inspector Sands; Periplum; Prodigal Theatre; The People Show; Sound & Fury; Swamp Circus; Tim Crouch, ist Christopher Umney sehr erfreut ,zu verkünden, dass er sich nun mit Eike-Birte Schräder zusammengeschlossen hat.
Eike-Birte has been working at the Staatstheater in Wiesbaden for the last eight years as a stage and costume designer and production manager. In addition she has also worked on a freelance basis for numerous theatre companies in Wiesbaden, Darmstadt and Köln. Eike-Birte has now moved to England to work with Christopher and they hope to establish SCHRÄDER – UMNEY as a successful production company in the years to come.
Alongside her theatre work Eike-Birte works as a photographer and also makes scarves and other fashion accessories.
Eike-Birte hat die letzten acht Jahre am Hess. Staatstheater in Wiesbaden als Kostüm- / Bühnenbildnerin und Produktionsleiterin gearbeitet. Zusätzlich hat sie freiberuflich für zahlreiche Theater-/ Tanzproduktionen in Wiesbaden, Bonn, Darmstadt und Köln gearbeitet. Eike-Birte ist jetzt nach England gezogen , um dort den Start der SCHRÄDER-UMNEY COMPANY zusammen mit Christopher Umney ins Leben zu rufen. Neben dem Theater ist die Photographie und das Entwerfen und Erstellen von Schals etc. ein weiterer Schwerpunkt der Company !
It is our intention not only to offer ourselves to companies individually as designers or production managers but also where possible to provide a complete design and production management service.
We feel that by concentrating all aspects of a production within one company a more unified overall design can be achieved; the communication of design issues during the production process can be made more efficient and also ultimately that we can provide a more cost effective solution than employing several individuals in each of the design and management roles.
